Who pays the access fee?
The fee (contributo di accesso) concerns day visitors entering the historic city on the dates above. In previous editions guests staying overnight in Venice and residents were exempt, although some exempt visitors had to register for a QR code. The rules for 2027 have not been published yet, so always check the official site before you travel.
What it means for a private tour
The access fee is separate from museum tickets and from the guide fee. If your tour falls on a fee date and you are visiting for the day, you handle your own registration on the official site; when we confirm your tailor-made tour we remind you of it. Early mornings and late afternoons remain the calmest moments to explore, whatever the date.
