In short
How do tailor-made private tours in Venice work?
Tailor-made private tours in Venice with VeniceAround are designed around your party and quoted individually, so there is no public price list. You tell licensed guide Daniela Zarpellon your dates, group and interests; she replies within 24 hours with a suggested route and a free, no-obligation written quote. The quote depends on length, group size, language, season and any boat or third-party services. Entrance tickets are not included in the guide fee.
Why are there no prices on the site?
Because there is no standard tour to put a price on. A couple spending three hours in St Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace, a family of five exploring Burano at a child's pace and a group of friends crossing to Giudecca for industrial Venice need different routes, different timings and sometimes a boat. A single published figure would be either misleading or full of small print.
Instead, every request receives its own written quote. It lists what the guide fee covers and what is separate, so you can compare and decide calmly. It is free, and asking for one never commits you to anything.
This is the same approach behind all of the Venice private tours and the pre-trip service Venice Stay Design.

What shapes a quote
Six factors that shape a tailor-made quote
These are the questions Daniela considers when she prepares your quote. None of them hides a surprise: each one appears clearly in what you receive.
1. Length of the tour
Most walks last about 2.5 to 3 hours; a lagoon day can be a half day or a full day. Any tour can be shortened or extended.
2. Size of your party
A couple, a family or a small private group: the number of guests shapes the route and the pace.
3. Language
Tours are guided in English, Italian or French. Tell us which language you would like for the whole tour.
4. Date and season
Season, day of the week and holiday periods change availability, crowds and the way a route is organized.
5. Boats and third-party services
A private boat or water taxi for the Grand Canal or the lagoon is run by a licensed operator and quoted separately, as is a driver for a Veneto day trip.
6. How custom the design is
A signature tour adapted to you, several tours over a few days, or a route built from scratch around a theme or a day trip from Venice.

FAQ
Questions about cost and booking
How much does a private guide in Venice cost?
Every private tour is quoted individually because it is tailor-made, so there is no fixed price. The quote depends on the length of the tour, the number of guests, the language, the season and any boat or third-party services. Entrance tickets are not included in the guide fee. The quote is free and without obligation, and you receive a reply within 24 hours.
Is the price per person or per group?
Your quote is prepared for your party as a whole, based on the factors above, and it states clearly what it covers. If anything is unclear, just ask before you confirm.
Is the quote binding?
No. A quote is free and never commits you. The tour is booked only when you confirm in writing.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms are stated clearly in your written quote, so you know them before you confirm anything.
Is a private guide worth it compared with a group tour?
A private guide works only for your party, so the route, pace and depth follow your interests rather than a fixed script. For many travelers the real value is time: fewer wrong turns, better timing around crowds and a clear plan for the rest of the stay.
Can we mix several tours in one day?
Yes, within reason. Two shorter themes, such as the Venetian palaces and a Grand Canal private boat tour, can be combined into one day, and the quote reflects the total length.
