Hidden Venice: the Northern district and the old Jewish ghetto

An enchanting walking tour in the northern district of Venice, Cannaregio.

We’ll taste a bit of real venetian life, wandering through one of the most surprising parts of the city, beloved by one of the main painters of the Renaissance: Jacopo Tintoretto who was in charge of decorating the Doges palace in the XVIth century.

We’ll discover a lively and enchanting neighbourhood where the Venetians still live.
Through some evocative lesser known streets we’ll enter the real soul of Venice, till we reach the Jewish Ghetto dated from 1516: it’s the oldest ghetto in the world, and nowadays it still keeps a unique atmosphere.
Along our tour we’ll stop at a very special venetian bacaro: a typical bistrot where you can taste some delicious bites (cicchetti in our language) and a glass of traditional Spritz!
